GREAT stuff! Review by Jo
I bought this 1.5 years ago and made my own "joey-bunz" premium type insert. i used 2 layers of this Hemp-cotton fleece with the furry sides facing (the dimensions were 13x5 with a slight inward curve on both long sides). i worked out the math to something like $2 per insert (or less i can't remember now) with MANY scraps that i serged into boosters of various lengths and widths thanks to how the fabric shrank in the prewash. those inserts are still super absorbent after all that time and they dry SO FAST! i used them in all of her medium and small pocket diapers. they also work to just lay in a cover that's the right size. i got over 20 inserts (plus all the 2 layer boosters) out of 2 yards. LOVE LOVE LOVE those inserts. they absorb a LOT. 1 did us overnight (daughter is not a heavy wetter). 4 layers is about 1/8" thick, to those wondering. but each of mine holds 8+oz. they were really overkill for her wetting habits, but with how thin 4 layers is who cares? Great, absorbent fabric Review by Jessica
I have used this fabric for years to make cloth diapers for my company with. It's a wonderful fabric. Be advised that it does "shed" after washing, so I would suggest pre-washing it twice before you sew with it.
Other than that it's very absorbent and holds up really well over time. I have diapers made from 4 years ago that are still in great shape.
Also be advised that hemp/cotton blends become the most absorbent after 5 washes!
I have found this fabric cheaper (around $10.85 per yard to start) on another site though, which is why I gave the value and price 3 stars. (Posted on 3/13/2013)
