Beautifully soft, almost buttery! This washable fabric is a wonderful weight of 95% Merino Wool and 5% Spandex Interlock fabric. This is the softest washable wool on the market. No one would ever guess it is wool. It is milled especially for Natures Fabrics. This makes great wool covers, pants and nursing pads. In some cases an extra layer is preferred, or this can be paired with our regular feltable wool interlock for more absorption. The fibers natural color enables beautiful dying. It is 60" wide and weighs 13 ounces to per yard. This will shrink 15% in length when felted, barely shrinks in width. Bulk pricing at 15 yards, drop ship pricing begins at 35 yards. This product is certified lead free by Microbac labs. It is made with an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified wool blend yarn. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a globally uniform testing and certification system for all stages of textile production. This certification ensures that products are free from harmful substances. There is no finer certification than the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Answers:

This does work as covers. You have to use 2 layers in the wet zone, and you have to use a good diaper. I have never heard from people that it does not work, and some of the diaper wahms use this in their products with no down side.

I want to make wool nursing pads so the material needs to be soft and comfortable. This is a similar use to diapering so I assume that the "feltable" is better since it is more absorbent. But is it soft enough? Which is better for me washable or feltable?

Answers:

Feltable is so nice for breast pads, super soft. You would never guess it is wool.

Answers:

I would go with the feltable then. It would soak more than the washable I think. I did use the feltable for trainers when my son was younger and they worked well. You can wash it once the material is felted up good.

it would work for a diaper cover, it is the preferred choice for that. And yes, it also works as a soaker layer in a diaper.
